Municipal Employees & Civil Servants Union (MECSU), non-politically affiliated and independent trade union operating in Local Government and Public Sectors, is looking for a dynamic, vibrant, self-starter, target driven individuals with labour knowledge and recruitment experience, to join our organization. We have regional organizer vacancies in the following regions:

Tshwane Region (GP) x 2
Ethekwini and Ilembe Region (KZN) x 2
Nelson Mandela Bay Region (EC) x 2
King Cetshwayo Region, Umkhanyakude Region and Zululand Region (KZN) x 3
Amajuba Region, Umzinyathi andUthukela x 2

Requirements
- Matric
- Post matric qualification in labour related field advantageous
- Clear credit record with no criminal record
- At least 1 year experience in labour environment
- Experience in dealing with Senior Management in Organisations desired
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of labour regulations
- Fluent in English and local language/s
- Valid Driver’s license
- Own Car an advantage, but not compulsory

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement organizing plans to build union membership - Actively Recruit workers to join MECSU
- Run recruitment campaigns
- Disseminate information to both members and non-members of MECSU
- Provide advice to members of the union on labour related issues
- Attend to member’s disciplinary hearings, grievances and disputes.
- Organize and attend meetings.
- Provide bi-weekly report.
